Mini but Mighty

Sony Ericsson teams up with tennis star for smartphone promotion
In 2010, Sony Ericsson collaborated with Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki to highlight the brand's commitment to innovation and style. As an avid smartphone user, Wozniacki emphasized the importance of features like reliable connectivity, internet access, music playback, and high-quality cameras—qualities embodied by Sony Ericsson's devices. This partnership not only showcased the brand's alignment with top-tier athleticism but also resonated with consumers seeking both functionality and flair in their mobile technology.

Sony Ericsson was a global mobile phone brand known for blending innovative technology with sleek design. Especially strong in the multimedia and lifestyle segments, the brand gained popularity for its stylish smartphones and strong music and camera features.

Originally a joint venture between Sony and Ericsson, the company transitioned in 2012 when Sony acquired Ericsson’s share, rebranding the business as Sony Mobile and bringing all smartphone development fully under the Sony umbrella.
